"Who hears these words of mine & puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, & the winds blew & beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine & does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, & the winds blew & beat against that house, & it fell with a great crash."

Matthew 7:24-27

4 Month Old Norah!

Norah turned 4 months old on June 5th!  It's hard to believe she has already been with our family for 1/3 of the year!  Norah had a big month, she rolled over from back to belly!!  She was laying on the floor one day and she started to get on her side and get really far over.  Erik was just coming in the door so I told him to quick come in because I thought Norah was going to roll over, I grabbed the camera, and she did!  Norah has also started drooling a lot this month and chewing on her hands, she usually always has her fingers or whole fist in her mouth.  As you can see from some of the pictures everything she grabs at also goes into her mouth-this time it was her dress! :)  Norah still eats every 3 hours during the day and goes longer stretches at night.  Her naps are okay and usually has to be put back to sleep after the first half hour.  We haven't tried any cereal yet, we waited until closer to 6 months with Kyler, so we are going to do the same with Norah.  At her 4 month check up, Norah weighed 13 lbs 14 oz (50%), was 25 in long (50%), and had a head circumference of 16 in (25%).  She is the same length that Kyler was at 4 months but he weighed 2 lbs more.  Here are some pictures of Norah the past month!

Fun With Bubbles!

On Memorial Day we headed up to my Aunt and Uncle's house in the morning.  They live just outside of Denver in "the hills" so they are kind of out in the woods a little bit, it's really nice out there!  We enjoyed a brunch "feast" of eggs, bacon, cinnamon rolls, muffins, fruit, etc.-way too much good food! :) We have been doing this for several years on Memorial Day and Labor Day.  We used to go out to George Wyth park and cook out over a camp fire, but then our group got smaller and my Aunt invited us out to her house one year and ever since we have just gone out there.  We decided the luxury of a kitchen won over cooking over a camp fire. :)  There weren't a lot of us, my family, my cousins' family, a family friend, and my brother and his girlfriend; but we had a great time.  After breakfast, my Aunt got out the bubbles and let the kids go at it!  Kyler hasn't played a lot with bubbles, but he sure had a great time!

Working on a big one!

Snack Time!

In our kitchen we have a small pantry, and since we are still working on re-finishing woodwork in our kitchen (yes we are still working) :), the door to the pantry is off right now-and has been for some time.  Lately, Kyler has figured out how to climb up in the pantry and then open a box of whatever cracker he would like to eat. :)  On this particular day, I believe he was eating some Teddy Grahams and I happened to get a few pictures while he was there! :)

"Okay Mom, enough pictures...." :)

Norah is 3 Months!

Norah was 3 months old on May 5th! (I'm working on getting caught up on blogging!) :)  It's hard to believe that 3 months have already passed!  She is still our laid back little girl.  We are working on more of a schedule as it seems like she kind of got out of the 'sleep whenever I feel like it' stage this past month.  She is still eating about every three hours and going longer at night-which is great!  As long as it's working, I think we'll keep doing it. :)  One of the big things Norah did this last month was laugh.  Erik was the one that really made her laugh the first time.  He had her laying in his lap facing him, with his knees up, so she was close to his face and was playing "peek-a-boo" with her with the burp cloth.  It was so funny to hear because at first I was thought, "is she really laughing?" but then she was!  It was so cute-it sounds almost like a nervous belly laugh.  Norah also loves to smile.  She flashes a big grin at just about anyone who comes to talk to her.  That's about all for Norah this past month.  Here are some pictures!
