Our New Friends :)
For Kyler's birthday, he received a Mini Ant Farm from one of his friends. We had to wait until the temperature over night got warmer in order to "order" our ants for the ant farm. Well, over the summer we kind of forgot about ordering the ants, and then we were gone and well we just didn't get it done. Well, the end of September we decided we better order our ants or we'd be waiting until next spring again to get them! So, we finally ordered our ants, and they arrived the night before we left for the marathon. :) You have to follow very specific instructions on what to do to the ant farm and how to put the ants in their farm. You are then also required to feed and water them every 3-4 days. (Pretty low maintenance pets) :) But, they are very interesting to watch! All four of us have enjoyed watching them work and move around in their little home. Erik said if everyone worked as hard as ants did, we would get a lot done. :) Here are some pictures of our new friends!

ha! That's awesome! Boaz has an ant farm on his Christmas list. Wasn't so sure about it, but you may have convinced me.
Lol! You should get one!! It's really easy, but you will have to wait until it's warmer to get the ants. He would love it though! Just make sure you keep it in a safe spot. :) Ours has spent lots of time on top of the fridge :)
