Kyler had his last day of kindergarten on Friday, May 22! This was definitely a growing year for Kyler, and he did it so well! The beginning of the year was such a struggle for Kyler, but by the end of the year, he was doing so much better. We continued to go half days for the whole year. There were some times we considered doing some full days at the end, but it just didn't happen, and we are okay with that. Kyler had such a great teacher who helped him along in his transition. We appreciate all of the time and effort she took to help Kyler feel more comfortable at school. I am amazed at the different ways Kyler grew this year. His handwriting came such a long way, and he really has nice handwriting. Erik even jokes sometimes that it looks better than his. :) Kyler's math skills grew, and I often will hear him rattling off simple addition facts. He also soaked up all of the "themed" units they did, and especially loved the oceans unit at the end of the year. Kyler enjoyed going to the GBPAC in the fall and Hartman in the spring for their class field trips, and he also met a few new friends along the way. We are so grateful for Kyler's experience this year in Kindergarten! Here are some pictures form his last day!
