We don't have too much planned for Christmas Eve as Erik spends a majority of the day at church helping with the services; however, we were able to enjoy a few simple traditions together! In the morning we just kind of hung around the house and didn't do a whole lot. Then around noon, we headed over to Erik's parent's house to have lunch with his parents, sister, and David. We had lunch and hung out for a little bit, then Erik went back to the church and we came home for naps. After naps, I took Kyler and Norah over to my parent's house to eat dinner with my parents and brother, Ben. Erik was unable to get away from the church for dinner, we we ate without him. :( We at right at 5:00, so we could be ready and make it to church for the 7:00 service. We attended church with my parents and brother; as well as Erik's parents, Leah and David. It has become fun to go to church with both families on Christmas eve since we all live here in town. After church, we headed back to my parent's house for homemade pie with my parents, brother, Erik's parents, my aunt and uncle, and my cousin and her family. For as long as I can remember, my mom has made homemade pie on Christmas eve to eat after church with our family and extended family. It's something I always look forward to, and it has been fun to expand the tradition and include Erik's parents too. We then headed home (way too late) :) to get the kids in bed because we knew the next day would be busy! Erik headed back to the church for the late service, and I got things ready for the next day. Here are some pictures of us all dressed up on Christmas Eve!
