"Who hears these words of mine & puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, & the winds blew & beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine & does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, & the winds blew & beat against that house, & it fell with a great crash."

Matthew 7:24-27

Tree Decorating and Snowflake Express

We decorated our tree the Wednesday after Thanksgiving weekend.  The kids were so excited to put the ornaments on the tree.  They were really into picking out which ornaments were "theirs" and putting them on the tree.  Then when they had run out of "their" ornaments, they asked which other ones they could put on. :)

The first Saturday in December was the Snowflake Express.  It's a train ride to raise money for the Magical Mix Kids.  The train ride is to mimic the Polar Express.  They play Christmas Carols and Santa comes down the isle and each child receives a bell.  I had first heard about this last year, but by the time I found out about it, all the tickets were sold out.  So, I started watching for them for this year because I knew the kids would love it.  One day on the computer, I found out that the tickets were on sale, so I texted Erik and told him to stop on his way home from work to get tickets.  There were only two times that had tickets left by the time he got there, so we picked the 5:00 time.  The kids were so excited to go ride the train.  We had a quick cookie before we got on the train and then we were off.  Kyler and Norah had fun, and when Santa came through they thought that was pretty cool.  The ride was about 45 min long, so it was a nice length.  Here are some pictures from our ride on the Snowflake Express!
